Looking Back, Looking Forward (June)

In the final concert of the season, the Meistersingers will do just that, look back and look forward. The first half of the concert will highlight selections from the ensemble's very first concert. Works from the Renaissance including Byrd and Victoria, will be performed along with modern works of Whitacre, Pärt, Ferko and others. The second half however will be all world premieres! Since the inception of its choral composition competition, Meistersingers has been responsible for the creation of over 100 choral works, and the tradition will continue. Not only will the top pieces be selected but Meistersingers will also unveil their first ever commission specifically for this concert. Do not miss the musical artistry that has thrilled audiences consistently for 10 years performing the true future of choral music!
